to the core

a seed brought to water grows plump strings a root the floating
begins to anchor. a lamb brought to slaughter goes dumb does she
cry? her innocence lay dying in a dream gone to memory. go wild
with a smile she was flying just the night before. what more,
what more could you ask for?

a slave gone to nature. nature's freak flaunting flesh in her
beak, what business is this of ours? the delivery received is a
calculated presentation. what have we become? what more, what
more could you ask for? you've gone to the core, to the core,
what more?

how to know when to say, when to say hello, hi

young child prone to urges drink and dirge, drink and dirge
indoctrination. call me, call me, call me the beast that i am.
sea swamps me mouthful. sand in my fingernails. i climb up again.
i climb up, up. what more, what more could you ask for? you've
gone to the core, to the core. what more, what more could you ask
me for? go ahead. ask for more, just a little bit more more. to
the core, you are already there.
